Quicken Home & Business 2008 & Paypal

One of the tools I frequently use for my business as well as personal accounting is Quicken Home and Business by Intuit.

Intuit has been sending me emails and direct mail (including trial CD’s) for months trying to get me to upgrade to the new 2008 version, which I’ve mostly ignored up until this point.

They found another clever way to get my attention by including a pop up ad yesterday when I opened the software program, but this time I saw a new feature which I knew I had to have….

The ability to connect with PayPal and download all of your transactions.

Quicken 2008 with PayPal

Now you can download all your PayPal transaction directly into Quicken for easier tracking of sales and expenses (your accountant and your tax return will thank you for this!)

I’ve just started using this and love the feature so far. As I begin to prepare all my 2007 tax documents this is something I wish I had all year… and will be a much welcomed financial planning tool for 2008.

Save on Quicken Home and Business 2008 If you currently use Quicken and Paypal, I’d highly recommend this upgrade to Quicken Home and Business 2008. If you don’t have Quicken and are looking for a solution to better track and manage your Internet Business (as well as personal) finances, then this is the perfect solution.

  1. Have been using Quicken products for years and they do save a significant bit of time and definitely something for any small business owner to be aware of.

    Easily save the costs on your accounting fees if you give it to them organized the way this does.

  2. Brian;
    Thanks for the PayPal heads up!
    Luckily 90% of my business revenue and expense flows through PayPal.
    The Quicken integration should make tax prep at breeze this time.

  4. PayPal lets you download to csv files, so you should be able to get your data into any financial software.

  7. Brian,

    For the past three years, I have been doing this manually by downloading the CSV files from Paypal and then using Excel to put everything into the proper categories before entering it all by hand.

    I can see how using Quicken’s new tool will make me want to do my taxes sooner rather than later.

    Keep up the great work!
